For our next DAILIESESSIONS, Tobi Bamtefa (Paramount+’s Mayor of Kingstown) and BAFTA nominated Weruche Opia (BBC's I May Destroy You) will both lead a practical workshop that dissects the craft and process of acting for the screen. This session will help you develop your performance skills and gain confidence in front of the camera.
How do you remain present in the moment during multiple takes? How do you observe, actively listen and collaborate on set? This session will also explore the process of analysing a script, the power of subtext and practical techniques for working in the medium of Film and TV. We will also compare the differences between acting for the stage and in front of the camera.
Participants will have an opportunity to work closely with Tobi and Weruche alongside a professional crew, scripts will also be sent ahead of the session. This DAILIESESSION will ultimately translate core techniques that will help you achieve authentic performances on screen.
This session is suitable for performers of all levels, no previous experience required.
